Hailing from Motueka New Zealand, Christchuch based musical artist Moses Robbins explores the electric guitar and it's relationship to poetry in a fresh, non possessive way. Narrowing the gap between the abstract and obscure, vibrant melodies and rhythm abound in his work.
No stranger to progressive improvisation, Moses is known for playing with the gaps that occupy the distance between the venue, performer and audience, often reacting, anticipating and riding the vibrations which abound in any given space.
Harnessing aspects of the meta-rock movement and post-folk underground, Robbins aims to shed light on the elusiveness of profound moments that can be obtained through the practical application of music in a live setting.
Exposure to his music in a performance context is an adventure into the feel of the guitar, the ethereal nature of words woven with melody and the soul which is found when all the noise is stripped away.
